Supplementary quote from "Searching for God Knows What" (Don Miller):

"The Bible is a relational document. Theology is all of the charts and lists we make out of it."

"the Bible...a complex, layered, intense portrait of God's goodness and our brokeness..."

"Heaven, not a warehouse of human machines, but a community of redeemed human BEINGS..."

a deep breath of enjoyment when reading this.

also, thanks for being an advocate of the beauty and dignity of being created in the image of God, (how COULD we be simply understood, much less "operated"?) (except by Him.)

i like eph. 2 where it calls us His poetry in motion (someone who knows greek told me what poesia meant.) i love good poetry, it is beyond the rational but doesn't dis the true.

"If you can grow on your own, even with God’s help, then you have something to boast about before others. But if we need each other to grow then our boasting is turned into humility. This is how community exposes our inadequacies and magnifies the power of the gospel as our only hope for personal and cultural transformation." (from ch. 1)
